JTR lead.A Palp lead with Vader,Nihilus,GK and either Tarkin and TFP can't handle this team.I've tried this combo they got demolished in one minute.

Because my Empire team can't handle a JTR lead.I used Palp,Vader,Nihilus,Tarkin and TFP (lots of speed and AoE),then switched TFP with either GK or Shore and even Han Solo and i still can't defeat a JTR lead.

And because i saw a clip on youtube with a Rex lead actually beating a JTR lead.The only thing is that the Rex team had a CLS in it and i don't have CLS and neither Thrawn.

Best counter to JT Rey is probably NS. You get plauge off, they take a lot of turns and kill themselves.
EP is a great counter to JT Rey. I use him. There are videos of JT Rey teams losing in offense against him. Most lineups do use Thrawn, though.
Rex can be a counter to Rey as well. I've got a theory that Rex + veterans are one great option to shut down Rey teams.

Thrawn is why. You neeed Thrawn.

Rebels still seem to work well against JTR, at least for me. Raid Han stuns BB8 and they can't quite get going.

If Thrawn fractures JTR, that makes things relatively easy.

Ultimately, it comes down to secondary speed stats on your mods. A CUP/Pao team could beat JTR if they have a big speed advantage.
