Grievous had a number of perdonal Jedi kills. Anyone able to kill a Jedi in 1v1 combat must be strong.
Many legendary fighters suck greatly in the movies because of Lucas propension to goofy, cartoonish scenes. Boba Fett is the greatest Bounty Hunter in the galaxy and he sucks badly in the RotJ.
