For my shard it has been nice to see some more variety since the dark side month (february). There are a couple zVader teams, a couple Palp teams, 1 zQGJ team, 1 Clone team and I even saw a droids squad crack the top 20. Everything else consist of cookie cutter Rebels squads.
Regarding the topic of palpatine, when I ran a Palp lead empire/sith squad my biggest hurdles were super fast rebels/droids and cleansers. So chirut is your short answer. A balanced squad and the optional Rex lead are your longer term answers. If you are determined to pigeon whole yourself with a set squad (Jedi?), then just accept that there are some bad matchups and also accept that your refusal to adapt isn't the game/designers fault, it is yours.
