Boba can ability block an entire team. I've seen plenty of teams with fast Boba going first and removing a teams worth of abilities off the bat. TFP can prevent an entire team from getting buffs. Rex Lead can clear debuffs and prevent new ones from landing in one move. There are counters to EP. As someone else mentioned, it's all about speed.
That really is what this entire game has come down to. One single stat out of everything else in it. That's not a lot of depth to what is supposed to be strategy. Sith assassin can be speed freaked more than even palpatine FYI, assassin is the best counter
