I run a zader team without EP and rank in the top 10 daily of my December 15 shard. The top 20 is 17/20 zaul (with EP) and two Rex (with EP). Yeah of course EP will go first and possibly stub my whole team... But then I get to play and I destroy them.
You're right it's all about speed though. Was the same with ST Han, the fastest was the winner. But now even if I never get the first moves I'm still able to win, if that can confort you...
