Because it's not just about winning, it's about enjoying playing the game. If you read my opening post in full, I explain that I don't enjoy 20 second matches. I'm actually asking for the developers to make the game more competitive.
I don't want an "I win" button, matches used to be longer and more enjoyable.
I'm frequently knocked off #1, by the way, but I do check in regularly and take back #1 when I don't have it.
Umm why do you 'have' to stay at #1? Is it not enough to be #1 at payout?
Maybe it's just the way I'm reading what you wrote but I would think that your preventing all the other players from getting #1 in their payout would be negatively affecting their 'enjoyment' of the game.
Most of the regular contenders on my shard will actively put in a scrub team immediately following their payout so that the next payout can get theirs too. This helps with not stepping on toes.
And we have a couple of whales who can easily field unbeatable squads but who also choose not to.
Its an everyone wins situation and when everyone wins everyone is happy!
