jtr swipe and r2 stun happen alot more than thrawn can tm swap. Furthermore, many jtr run thrawn as well.
At least if it's gk, he still gives crit immunity if he's incapacitated.
Ive seen both being used, and gk is defititely harder to deal with.
If R2 wants to use a basic on shore instead of stealthing turn 1, more power to him. It’s certainly not going to happen on D though, and is a pretty terrible choice.
If no other buffs touch him, Shore can Regroup every other turn. That’s not quite GK picking up taunt constantly, but it’s certainly not “a sitting duck for 4 turns.”
Plus he feeds Empire TM, has a group heal built into his taunt, passive self-heal, and also spreads Crit Immunity.
I’m not arguing that GK can’t be effective in Palp-Vader squads, I’m disagreeing with this....."Mobewan;c-1468666" wrote:...because it is factually incorrect.
Despite his pretaunt, shore is too easy to shut down.
Dispel his taunt or stun him and EP is a sitting duck for 4 turns.
Shore is a great tank, probably the best overal DS tank. GK is a great tank, probably the best overal LS tank. Against certain opponents GK might be better in that squad, it’s a testament to his kit that he can even be dropped into that squad and do well; but he’s certainly not better vs everyone, and much like GK he brings things to the table that the other can’t do.
Got to agree with this. The thing that sets shore apart from other tanks in this empire squad is that he gives 15% tm to an empire unit whenever they use a special ability while he's taunting.
Plus, his cooldown on taunt is essentially two turns with Palp giving offense up.
