Was the reason Vader cut off Jedi Luke's hand because that was the hand he had holding his MK12 Armatek Keypad?
Quite amazing boost those things gave to Jedi

@Mephisto_style I don't think his then-human arm had any such tech in it. They could have stuck it in his fancy new mechanical arm, though. That's probably how those things came to be, so I guess Vader is to blame.
