Malak/Thrawn Question

He's getting a bonus turn, which functions differently from gaining TM.

Edit: I haven't tried this yet, but a fractured JKA should also jump to 100% TM if one of his teammates dies or drops below 50% health.

If someone isn't fractured, I agree. But he doesn't actually get the bonus turn, so his turn meter should be static. A bonus turn does not equal gaining 100% turn meter, which is functionally what happens in this situation. If anything it should set his turn meter back to what it would be after the bonus turn but not give him the turn.

A bonus turn is simply setting his turn meter to 100%, and bypassing anything that would otherwise prevent TM gain. He'll get the bonus turn after fracture expires, as you can't actually take a turn if you can't gain TM the normal way.

I had the same issue, only Thrawn's Fracture didn't stick at all. I don't understand this, since Fracture is supposed to be un-evadable, irresistable, and can't be Dispelled. It should last until Thrawn's next turn. The sequence was this: Thrawn fractured, Malak took his bonus turn on Thrawn (Thrawn survived), and after that there was no Fracture on Malak, and Malak continued on gaining turn meter as if nothing had happened. I don't understand this.

CBM prevents debuffs from sticking, it doesn't matter what kind of debuff it is. It's not getting resisted or evaded, it simply doesn't get applied at all.

Was Bastila's corrupted battle meditation in play? Fracture doesn't stick if thrawn has that debuff. Use the tm swap before fracture and hope that Thrawn gets his next turn before bast

Actually, that's exactly what it is. Gaining a bonus turn equals gaining 100% turnmeter, which can't be prevented by shock, daze, fracture etc.

Hmmm... I don't remember Dark Bastila going before Thrawn, but I could be misremembering. It would explain it. I do understand the difference between the bonus turn vs. gaining 100% TM, so that didn't surprise me. Thanks, all, for the explanation and strategy tip.

The other thing is if Thrawn crit Malak during the fracture, he'd get Fear. So he would miss his turn, Fracture would go away, and since Malak is sitting at 100% tm he'd go next. Happening fast, this could look like Fracture just disappeared and Malak just went, but really Thrawn had a whole turn in there.

If feared you miss your next turn. It doesn't mean you get another turn immediately and miss it.
