Mastery without relics?
So, in regards of toons altering the mastery of other toons (GL's), does the other toons needs to have relics to see those mastery stats changes? Or will it work on, for example, a G12 character?

Correct but characters can have negative mastery. To ensure that Kylo can Siphon Mastery even from units that don’t have Mastery, the amount of Mastery Kylo gains is based on his Mastery and Siphon stacks, and then the target loses the same amount that Kylo gained.
Note: Most characters have a base Mastery of 0 regardless of if they have their Relic unlocked. Mastery can go negative, and when it does, the stats that it affects for that particular character will be decreased rather than increased. "DarthGlovoc;c-2200782" wrote:

Wait... so that means that using a character that gives mastery with a G12 or less toon, will have their stats decreased?

The posts are saying that characters that don't have mastery can both gain and lose it. I am not quite sure how to addition of mastery works.- A relic character can have there stats decreased.
Ever heard of a GK with no protection in a Kylo vs Rey (GLs) fight? That's cuz Kylo drains enough mastery to make GK go negative. So negative that his protection hits zero.
Most fights that's not really a concern tho
