Maul Mod question

Prepare for barrage of "speed is everything"...

Thats why I did it, but looking at all the stats it was like speed went up by 9 and almost everything else went down, so I am doubting my decision to favor speed that much

What team are you running him on? Once an enemy is defeated, his crit chance will be high enough he's taking advantage of it. And he gains 100% TM anyway if he kills someone so the crit damage might make the difference between another instant turn or getting wasted. There's no way Maul is going first on most teams so as long as someone dies and he gains Power of Hated I, you're gold.

if you're running him as the lead he doesn't need speed. Maul's strength comes from TM manipulation and evasion. You should absolutely use the crit dmg triangle regardless of speed loss. Besides, you want him going last anyway since he gets to go again if you defeat an opponent toon. If you're not running him as lead it gets a little tricky, but I'd still side on more dmg output if his crit chance is over 45%

His Crit Chance is at 50%, he is not the lead. I run zEp, Vader, zSion, Nihilus and Maul. As soon as I get Thrawn this month maul will be replaced and probably stripped of these mods anyway but I figured might as well swap them over for the next few weeks. It just seemed disheartening that I stripped him of damage and protection just to gain a little speed. He still goes last, my vader is 233, sion 210, palp 209 and nihilus 192 with maul at 185.

Maul's bad when he isn't lead or going up against all Jedi. Do you have anyone else Empire that you could use? Tarkin can be a real pain on that team, or even Sid or Shore.

I know, but Maul is that bad lol.

EDIT: Not suggesting he gear up anyone else for 2 weeks of use, but if he has someone else to plug in there in the meantime he'd be better off than using Maul.

^this - if you have GK, you might want to switch that out. Sure, you lose the 8 speed on Vader, but the survivability would be much better.

Caveat: if there are still a ton of JTR squads in your shard I'd boost his potency and see if you can use him to go 5/5 on his daze strike. Still don't need his speed to be high with a EP team, so crit dmg vote stays "yes"
