Mod advice

So mods have always been my weak spot. I always aim for mods that have some form of speed because at one point speed was crucial for victory but never really bothered with looking at the other stats. My mindset had been for a while that mods are mostly meant for speed with the other stat boosts just being a nice addition while hear level and relics would cover the rest of the toon offensively and defensively. However I've had the worst luck with the galactic challenges with even my best squads some of which are relic 7 not being able to clear the tiers that reward the new 6 dot mod slicing materials. The only squad that managed to survive was my nightsisters because between daka healing and asajj getting massive boosts whenever zombie or anything else died and was reanimated and died again. I know that switching mod sets is an option but my real concern is should I focus on critical chance/damage instead? I've been told that critical percent mods are a good way to go but I'm getting burned out wasting my efforts on overpowering my squads only to have them get slaughtered because of what mods I might be using. Any advice?

    General guidelines:

Attackers: CD or offense set with a CC, potency or health set as appropriate based on character's kit. Offense cross, crit damage triangle.

Tanks: Health/defense sets. Primaries vary based on kit; Kylo Unmasked does best with all health primaries, whereas Jedi Master Luke favors protection.

Support/healer: Usually speed/health sets with defensive primaries.

Almost everyone: as much speed as you can muster while adhering to the above guidelines.

These aren't hard-and-fast rules, as some characters do best with a "non-standard" setup. For instance, Droideka benefits from not having a ton of speed so it can do more true damage with its basic. General Kenobi should be modded for health if used under Padme, but does better with protection or defense under other leads.

Basically, read the kit and determine what the character's strengths are, then mod based on that.
