"Must have" Toons?

The ones that win for you.

Ewoks>have highly worked on used in arena, raids and few nodes in GW.

There are some that are better than all others but you can get by with alternates. Everyone says you have to get Rey but I manage to top 5 in arena every day without her.

There may not be any truly essential characters, but there are truly essential skills to place well in raids. For Phase I and Phase III, u need to b able to remove debuffs: AA, EE, Rex, Lobot. Take your pick, but cleanse is necessary. TM reduction: Teebo, ES, QGJ, Rex etc. Slow: 5's, RG, Phasma. Debuffs in Phase II, hard to stick, higher potency the better.

In conclusion, although the skills r a must, the character to do it is not...that is not to say some don't do it better than others.

I'm not saying some heroes aren't better than others, bit for example someone could say that you need Luminara for GW. This isn't true. You can use other healers.

Just like you said Qui Gon Jinn is a must have. Why exactly? I do fine without him. One can rank high in arena, complete Galactic War and rank high in raids without him. So why exactly is he a must have?

I agree with you on qgj. I have him at lv 55 with blue gear, planning on boosting him later after I finish some other toons I use. Also I rank top 200-100 in Arena, depends on how many people decides to attack me.

Taunt and offense up are useless now as there are characters that dispel those such as sun fac

Good joke. Try running a F2P Jedi team or Ewok team and tell me they can hold your arena rank for a day. You need RG now for arena now without question and you basically need any of the evasive lead or Phasma. Flat out you need these toons if you want to hold rank.

Define holding rank? I see many evasion teams that are in top 5 at their payout time down at 50 and below out side of payout. My team that does not have evasion lead does same thing.

While dodge is the only thing that the AI cannot mess up, it still beatable and when your leader board is 90%+ Evasion lead well you can't really skip them.

Seriously you should write a joke book, I'm laughing so hard here. If they are then I haven't ever seen it. All I see is evasion leads with RG and ST Han and Rey with a 5th toon for funsies. The fact that these team can keep them in the top 50 for a day is ridiculous. I have a full Jedi synergy team with 2 7* 2 6* and my beloved 5* Aayla and I drop 300 ranks a day. It's dumb that the AI is this bad that people can't have the team they want that should hold your rank better than having to fight for your 400 rank in arena. Just the other day I was ranking in the 390s in my server and I log on today to claim a rank 867 reward.
