Tarkin and his ship, the Executrix, literally get me 350-375 crystals every night. If you do fleets right from the beginning, Tarkin should be one of your priorities in the several shops where he shows up. I'm not going to write here how the whole Tarkin fleet can built, there are already threads about it. I can provide links. Some people may think I'm crazy to put Tarkin as the 2nd or 3rd guy to farm from squad arena and and another shop, and that's fine. I'm F2P, so I will take my hundreds of fleet arena crystals while others call me crazy ;)
Some guildies recently unlocked fleets and are getting far more crystals from there than from squad arena because they followed the suggestions some of us gave them. Squad arena is where dolphins and whales tend to invest the most. After a few months, it becomes harder and harder to stay in top 20 or top 100.
As some people pointed out, matching what I said, you don't need your 5 scoundrels all maxed out in stars, gear, mods, etc. Tier III and Tier IV in the credit heist aren't that difficult.
Also, bronzium packs drop IG-86 shards, NOT Ig-88's. Keep that in mind. Sometimes I get some IG-88 shards as Galactic War node rewards. IG-88 is a good toon, but definitely not a huge priority unless you decided to build a droid squad (which you didn't).
