As the Thrawn event is coming up, I’d save your omegas for the Phoenix unique abilities, since they each affect everybody.
Oh wow, that surprised me. I could have sworn that the first time I looked at the April calendar the Thrawn event wasn't there. Of course they did say everything is subject to change.
So I originally thought it would be another month+ before Thrawn comes around again b/c the first time I looked at April I didn't see Thrawn there. Now that I know Thrawn is in 6 days this totally changes my plans and I'm definitely going back to focusing Phoenix, though I'm waiting on Omegas to see if I'll actually need them.

That will be more of a question on whether or not he can get to level 80 (82 in Chopper's case) by the time the Thrawn event ends on the 18th. Given that Thrawn is such a great arena/raid character, I would also recommend you hold on to your omega materials until his event ends. You may be able to get level 80 in time, and may need the ability levels on your uniques to finish the last tier of the Thrawn event.
Yeah, good idea. And thanks for the tips on the battles themselves.

You're probably only starting to have problems with enemy Palpatine teams because they're starting to get their omega abilities.
Ah, that would explain it.

The way I normally decide the order to apply omegas--if you're not going to sit on your omega materials in the event you need them for Thrawn--is ask myself what will help the team most? Any omega abilities that give me buffs (Palpatine's specials) and/or hurt my enemy's team (Tarkin's first special) get priority; then any omega abilities that improve the way a character's kit works (honestly, most of them); then those that just give me more damage. I'd say, between those three options, Tarkin's special, then Vader's... entire kit (first special, second special, then his basic), then TFP's unique.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for after the Thrawn event - I'll be saving my omegas for Phoenix, but if I can get through it without omegas I'll have them free to use on my Empire team. Speaking of which, I assume that for my transition team, Thrawn would replace Boba Fett when/if I get him?

As far as modding them: speed is still king in arena. Which set you use for your mods will depend largely on what you have access to and whether or not you'll be running a Palpatine lead (looks like you don't have him quite yet). If all you have access to is health mods, then use health mods! Get as much speed as possible on your characters (I'd say you want TFP and Tarkin to be as fast as possible; don't neglect Vader's speed entirely) then prioritize protection and potency. Potency won't mean as much once you get a Palatine lead, but it might help you feel as though you're sticking your debuffs/stuns more often. When you get your Thrawn make him your fastest so you can get fracture up ASAP.
As far as mod sets you may want to eventually aim for? Speed, critical damage, offense, potency? The first three all require four mods to make one set bonus, so mix and match to your heart's content.
Thanks, that helps a bunch. The reason I ask what mod types to get is because I'm probably never going to even try to go for any of the other mod types until there's actually a pressing reason to do so. If and only if there is a need for them, I will go for them hard.
