Hey, yes I try to gear them well. At a minimum I try to get them to Teir VII (only the toons that I will be using for Guild or other Events and etc.) since that's when they gain that extra protection. I recently did find out that farming for gear takes a lot longer and is more difficult to get then shards, haha thanks!
:) also be mindful that certain characters for certain events will need to probably be gear 9/10. Obviously it all depends on the event and the other characters in the equation. Aim for g9 in any event you’re really interested in, then if they need to go any higher it should be the odd character up the odd gear level
