Need Treaya advice

I have a reliced Sith Trooper. He does some crazy damage with his assists and AoE. And his zeta can clear teams.

However, his assists can actually be a bit of a problem if you're going against Padme. I sometimes switch him out for Thrawn in that case.

The Sith Trooper is too valuable to First Order squads to move. I'm not saying he wouldn't take out Geos, just that he's better elsewhere.

The other proposals are non-starters. Attacking Geos (rather than just waiting for them to die) involves dealing AoE damage. If you're not doing AoE, it's a waste. Royal Guard is an acceptable substitute only because he auto-regens when allies get attacked AND auto-taunts, so the fact that his taunt gets dispelled isn't as much of a worry. Since the Geos do lots of damage only by making lots of small attacks, that means that Royal Guard gains lots of TM and heals lots of Health between the times he's taunting. Just re-read the kit and it's not how many attacks, it's just all attacks during one turn that determine healing & TM gain.

Now, one other thing to take into account is that Darth Maul is MUCH easier to gear than SET. Even though SET is ultimately a better fit for this squad (and can move on to your Revan/Malak squad later so the gear will never be wasted), in the short run there is a reason to pick Maul over SET. Only you can decide how important it is to get the perfect pick vs. how important it is to gear your pick up fast. If fast gearing is important, Maul would likely move up to #1.

You really should consider consulting Youtube 1st . I guess I should add, you haven't buffed your Sion enough. Mine is G10 6* z behind zzTraya and he is taking Geo teams at this point. Speed him to 240-260 and get his defense, health, protection up.

Did you listen to justian's vid? He tells you when you can and cannot use the single Traya Sion pair and when you need more. Either way if you are not using Thrawn elsewhere he is both tanky enough, and with his zeta will be ideal for the 3 to completely recover protection and get you the most banners. R1 zzTraya zSion zThrawn should be enough to full banner almost all Geo teams if modded correctly.

As others have stated, the main triumvirate (traya, Nihilus, Sion) is the core, and potentially Nihilus can be dropped against weaker bugs - the best options in most cases is to add either pre-taunting or auto-taunting tanks to spread damage around while they damage themselves from Traya’s Kit (this also helps the trio time to ramp up their own survivability from the kit interactions).
So Sith empire trooper is a great addition, Royal Guard and/or shoretrooper are both very good additions.
Another oft-overlooked addition is Sith Marauder, since he gains TM for enemy out of turn attacks (and the geos AI for the most part seems to favor attacking the weakest target available) every time a geo goes and calls a full team mass assist, Sith Marauder also gains full TM and gets to take a turn, doing fairly high single target damage to deplete their health pool (and recovering most of his own health in the process), makes for a surprisingly resilient ‘soft tank’ (since he seems to be favored by AI targeting as a generally low health pool character) that can also chip away fairly quickly at their overall health - Traya lead doesn’t rely nearly as heavily as other geo counters on AOE atttacks, since you isolate the Brute to stop the taunt and knock out Alpha first, and the team falls apart pretty quickly after that.

As a bonus, marauder is a fairly easy character to farm and gear up, and pulls double duty as a pilot.
