Disagree. They should be balancing all the time, lots of nerfs and lots of buffs, instead of power creep.
The problem is that when game devs do things this way, they tend to overnerf and underbuff. It just creates this constant low level feeling of resentment because anytime you build up a strong character you're just waiting for it to get nerfed into worthlessness.
The best solution is to buff other characters to bring them in line with whatever the "overpowered" thing is, when possible. That requires more work, though, so devs rarely, if ever, do that.
That could work too the point is the boredom of one meta. Whether is buffing others or nerfing they need to seriously work on mixing it up and giving us squad options.
