New meta (rey)

her teams dont do enough damage, and dont have enough survivability, thats the problem, if you dont have GK then raid han has you dead to rights. if you do have GK then your team has no damage.. she needs bb8 and r2 so now thats 2 tanks and 2 supports = no damage she cant kill anybody. sure you can get off ID after half your team has been eaten alive by CLS/Leia/Han but that developer in the interviews was obviously just trying to sell a character.. hiding details about the stats in classic EA/CG fashion knowing all the well shes not good. Whatever in a few weeks CLS will be back and we can all rejoice in the CLS meta

I did just beat an all G12 Resistance team lead by Jedi Rey to take #1 in arena. With NS.

They had Rey lead, Finn, Poe, R2, and Trooper.

She needs the droids, and then two tanks to protect them. The only damage dealer is Rey, who doesn’t do enough damage. I can win with her team, it’s just slower and less efficient than with a meta team.

Did anyone tried GK(l), NewRey, r2/Cls, bb8, Hermit Yoda?

It's interesting to read how sure everyone was that Rey was worthless and to now look at the top 15 in arena. What does everyone think about the new meta now?

The thing is worthless on the internet usually means not game breaking good. She is not commander luke skywalker but she is on the next tier.

I have a feeling she could be elevated with the release or rework of one or two resistance characters.

To be fair... some were pessimists, some were hopeful, but most underestimated how much speed and CDR this team was going to have (at least from my perspective). If you can have the fastest BB-8 on your shard, you're going to be very pleased, even on defense.

Must are unsatisfied with the team until they run into a JTR with a BB-8 over 280 speed and an R2 at 270...

I assumed rey would be "meh." And am very pleased that some of my shard are using her. Easy wins.

I dont see her better in defense than other teams. It comes down to how fast you can get your bb8. But if your opponent has Zolo and hits Rey, R2 or BB8, you are in trouble.

The problem with Rey is, that 3 spots are basically taken from the start. If one of those three die in battle, its basically over. She is no one man army like CLS and she is certainly no "I counter everything" smurf (who is imho the single most op toon in game) but she is fun to play.

I have Rey, r2, bb8 and GK set atm. Still wondering who that fifth spot shoul take. Chopper is no joke but he crumbles against zolo. Zarriss doesnt really cut it either. I am not completely sold on Old Ben, I think it should be a pre taunt, if you go for double tank. Zolo is not a bad idea if opponents BB8 is faster than yours. Tomorrow I will try getting GK out and putting Chaze in.
Also B2 in that fifth spot could be interesting but I dont have that guy geared yet.

Good old Rey is the toon you're looking for. She has the dps and she can survive a shoot first (barely). R2 will always keep her stealthed and she will get lots of foresight
