Nightsister zombie vs nihilism annihilate fears execute

Does any one know if nihilus omage annihilate or fetts omaga execute stops the nightsister zombie reviving. Description says revive cannot be prevented
  • annihilate and execute (which does not require omega but 1st lvl) can not stop zombie from reviving
  • no zombie will still revive those do not work against zombie. been stated many times in previous posts about it

Both abilities should cancel out and they should both surrender ;)

But on this game, newer ability beats older ability, even if the english language and the rules of logic and platonic discussion state otherwise. Which is fine, devs can do whatever they want. They should change the description tho, thats not ok

There is more than one revive ability in the game and both annihilate and execute work as intended to counter them. Only NS Zombie is an exemption.

  • Old Daka can revive. Annihilate can prevent that preventable revive. Nightsister Zombie has an unpreventable revive. You can't prevent something that's unpreventable. You guys argue a lot about Annihilate and Execute but don't realize the descriptions are fine as they are, they simply need reading comprehension.

Also stop making Nihilus vs Zombie threads every day. Use search.
  • Don't think of it as a math problem where they cancel one another out, think of it as a word problem.

You've got a switch with two settings: Can be revived, cannot be revived. By default the switch is set to Can Be Revived. Execute, Annihilate, Deathmark, and Rancor's devour flip the switch to Cannot Be Revived. Nightsister Zombie's ability says that its switch cannot be flipped.

So Annihilate (or whatever) hits the Zombie and kills it, then tries to flip the switch, but because her switch can't be flipped, it remains in the Can Be Revived position and the Zombie comes back.

Saying "New ability beats old ability" is true, but misstates why this is the case. New abilities are made with specific old abilities in mind, so they're written to tailor to the outcome they want. Old abilities were made with only the vague idea of what future abilities might be.
