You are torturing the English language to try to make something true. The noun is "stealthed allies." All verbs apply to that.
Anyone reading the ability understands that those bonuses are (should) applied to stealth heroes. This post is reaching very very hard. It isn't worded odd at all, and definitely isn't confusing...
Except it is, the second clause entirely lacks a noun, but has a verb. It is an incomplete clause. As a result of this, the sentence loses clarity, as there is no subject to express who "gains" anything. Even if it were applying to stealth heroes, there needs to be a pronoun after the "and" to complete the clause, making it a dependent clause
Your whole first point is based on the assumption that both clauses are independent. You just admitted they both aren't. Therefore the first point loses its validity.
The first clause itself is independent, and correct, and the second is not. The point is that if we assume the second clause is independent, then it works for the current ability, while a dependent clause means that both the description and the actual ability are broken. My post states that it is more likely that only the description is broken, not both, and the most likely answer is usually the answer. If there is a bug, then both the ability and ability description are wrong, which is rather hard to come across, since it can be assumed there is more than one person working on the abilities
Um what? We can't just assume the clause is independent because it is dependent upon "stealthied allies". I can jumble up any sentence I want and come up with a new meaning. It does not mean that that meaning is correct. I will agree with you that the description and the ability do not match up although I think it's the ability that is bugged not the description.
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.
Well there are multiple things the ability can mean, depending on the missing noun, it is possible that the ability is bugged as well though, but the description is definitely grammatically incorrect. The ultimate question is what is the correct ability description
Again, there is no "missing noun." The sentence has one subject and two verbs, which is perfectly standard English.
Also, the developer already responded to the video on Reddit, clearly saying it is not working as intended.
The quote: "Nah but in all seriousness we will be addressing this, I just can't comment as to exactly when. Definitely got a good laugh out of it, at least"
Since this is a place where we're picking words apart, there is nothing in the devs' response that suggests that it is not working as intended, ie is a bug. "Addressing" this means they'll comment on it, likely after they've checked it for bugs and reviewed it for game balance.
As has been pointed out by the creator of the video, and confirmed when I tried this out myself, Lando's crit rate does in fact not go up with Nute as leader, and it takes a fair amount of luck to pull all those crits off.
