His protection pool increases by 5%. He doesn't recover protection per se, but his protection will scale up along with his max.

Eg if his max was 20k and he had 10k, his new max would be 21k and he would have 10.5k

when he gets that new protection it's added to what he has.

Oh that's interesting, I always thought it scaled like nihilus' stacking health does. Are you sure?

Yea that's why I ask. Theres no (+) sign next to the 5% gain. It seems useless since not many characters can regen protection, except for Thrawn.

If he can go from 0- 5% protection that does add some kind of regenerative effect.

Yes, he regenerates 5% prot, as well as gains 5% extra stacking on top of his prot. All abilities with such descriptions do that.

Anyone who has played against/with palp for a reasonable amount of time will see that.

Everything is correct, except the fact that he does recover prot.
