Poggle Lead viable in Arena?

I'm currently using Sid (lead), 88, Geo, Poggle and Poe. I'm mostly guaranteed for top 5 during my reward time but I've been using Sid since forever and was thinking of changing stuff up a bit.

I was thinking of having a team with Poggle (lead), Geo, 88, 86, Poe. All 6 or 7* max gear. Would love to hear some advice from people who have encountered/having such team setup as ALL of the top 20 in my server are having Sid or Phasma or Barriss lead. I wanna make sure that my experiment wouldn't throw me out of Top 20 in a night. :D

    Do you know how they perform for defence? My current team usually stagnant at Top 10 or sometimes Top 20 for defence.

    AI Poggle buffs the team 1st move. Poggle has solid HP. I see him here and there. He forces you to make a decision, especially if you run a speedy DPS team that has not the greatest HP. Do you focus on taking him out to avoid a buffed team, or take out the cannons and deal with the buff? That call is tough when there are Poggle, 3 cannons, and Poe. You will not get all 3 typically before Poe buffs, you can get some good crit luck with QGJ, GS, Rey and ice the 3, but reality is you are talking 88,86,GS at roughly 35 total HP, while the Jedi, the bug, and the goddess all are heavy hitters it is unrealistic to expect 3 1 shots. So you will take some hard hits.

    End of the day it is very viable, but like all defenses it is pretty easy to get by if you know how to play it.


    That's a great analysis. Your server seems to be one competitive one! I'm keen to know how it would turn out. I still need some work done for my 86's gear and skills before actually test this team in arena.

    Swapping vader sid lumi or hk would be better than poe woth poggle leading. Han too

    I havent faced a poggle lead team. I faced HK47 lead with IG86 IG88 Poe and Poggle. It was 4k power less than me and crushed me in less than a minute. I am at power 25k and beat some 26k power squads.

    Need a faster squad to beat the poggles offense up gives droids speed up to.

    Droids only do well on attack, so don't worry about defense. On an established server there's too many speedy dps in the top ranks. They take out your ig88 and ig86 before poe can taunt.
    I sometimes change to poggle lead when facing another droid team (hk47, ig88, ig86, poggle, poe) It ensures a OHK on Ig88.

    I've been beating poggle squads lately since my dooku got to 6*. Stun him first round then burn him down before he gets his buff off

    Good strategy. I dont have Dooku yet. I am just avoiding droid squads with poggle right now. My squad doesnt match up well. Maybe once I get Yoda and QGJ in a couple weeks.

    Exactly need a speed meta team to beat them. They are still a good squad anything without speed it will decimate.
