Scoundrels are good now just to get credits from the credit heist.
When it comes to arena, there's no real advantage to using a certain faction, unfortunately. If you want to finish top 25 in arena, you will either play droids w/ JE (the only good faction in game currently), or you use a hodge podge of high tier characters.
Rebels are almost there... but in my arena server, I see no pure rebel teams near the top.
