R2 is built like a tank, so yes it's viable. I run Wedge, Biggs, zRaid Han, zzR2, and Thrawn on my FTP account. It wrecks on offense. The 20% TM gain for raid han at start is great.
Against most teams, raid han stuns 1 with opening move, my thrawn then disables their baze, then Han stuns another so they have 3 disabled. From there it's a game of cleanup.
