Specifically preparing for HSTR is nonsense, after relics you can use almost any teams. Besides, JKR, DR, and clones all do good damage in HSTR and you'll get them all for other purposes anyway.
My advice is to just build towards your favourite punchy squads and otherwise just enjoy the game. I've had SEE for a couple of months myself now and he's quite worth it.
