Rex lead diminishing?

It's certainly on the way out on my shard. Zader/Thrawn combo starting to creep in. Shame really, I'd just got used to taking Rex teams down with DN lead. Ah well, back to the drawing board!

Lots of zQGJ leads on mine. One or two zauls left. DN lead, thrawn, zader and boba.

He's done as the best lead that's for sure - been that way on my shard since R2 hit and people went to the Gk / Chaze / R2 / DN comps. See Rex more in the mixed meta squads now, like Rex lead, R2, GK, Boba and DN or zKylo instead of Boba. Those with the mods and the toons switched to zDV lead, then Tarkin, and now Thrawn vintages. Rex teams can still climb and are fairly effective, but not as strong and don't win at the same rate as before.

It's actually showing up on gg a bit finally as well - he hit a high of about 50% leader usage and has been steadily ticking down to current 46%.

Short answer is yes Rex lead is down 4% since the end of the Thrawn event.

No. Rex lead has always and will always have a place in top 10. There's phases when someone else is the majority lead, but Rex always comes back.

There is a good mix now in mine. It used to be almost all Rex in the top 50. Now it's about an even split between Rex, Zaul, dn, wedge, zqgj, and zader with a few others here or there. It's actually interesting in arena again instead of everyone having the same squads.

The effectiveness of Rex lead hasn't changed much, but people are starting to get bored of using him so are changing their comps.

Sill 45% of the top 10 teams and in mine hes about 75%. But if u take wedge L 15% and gk L 7% those all still have chaze dn on the squads so it doesnt really make a difference on the lead. And really a rex lead is only great w chaze

True. The Rex lead meta never goes away. It just fades every now and then.

People are just testing their new teams. Odds are he'll be back.
