We all, even long term players like myself, have multiple toons we want to or need to grind to gear and star. The separatist droids (grevious, IG-100, B2, B1 and Droideka) in my opinion seem rather poor faction/team with very little use in any game mode.Maybe I’m wrong? and this is why I’m posting,so can hear other thoughts and experiences. My B2 is already gear 11, 7 star as he has some use other than that doesn’t seem like others are worth it or necessary?I just don’t want to waste resources on a faction that’s not much use. I’m not really interested in them so wouldn’t farm for fun only viability. Thanks for any constructive feedback you can give

Any team that isnt dead awesome in arena, and doesnt include at least 2 good pilots should be washed down the priority drain

The current consensus seems to be that they are pretty good and can beat meta teams if maxed out with BB8 thrown in, but won't hold on defense against said meta teams. So do with that what you will.

Here’s my 5 cents. I have a guy that makes it to the top 50-30 in arena with Grievous. He doesn’t use droideka or magnagaurd. He instead uses bb8 and T3. Ever since he started using that team he has yet to fall out of the top 50. And that’s with a 4 star gear 11 b1. I use them, and on offense can climb very easily, but defense is bad.

Short answer: NoLong answer: Heck noThey require such a large investment to even just be mediocre. Unless you have literally nothing else to do, they are not worth that much investment to just be a GA/TW team.

They are a huge investment and a somewhat niche team... ... but I’ve had very good success with them both in arena and other areas of the game https://swgoh.gg/p/298548193/

I ran into a magnificently geared and modded GG team in Grand Arena; L33T was on the team. It was legit pretty tough. But again, you need to go all in on them and max them out (and get their oddball modding requirements right). They really aren’t worth the intense resource investment for what they are.

Most teams have a use beyond arena viability. Grievous does not. Pouring those resources into JKR gets you a meta PvP and a team that eats raids, while putting even more resources into a Grievous team gets you a team that can beat JKR on offense with good RNG but can’t beat CLS or Traya, and loses to JKR on defense. He really is not worth it.

Seems like the team is a real gear grind and needs toons from other factions like bb8, L3 and T3. So not a separatist team more a droid team?

Am I right saying that manga guard is definetely not worth the effort? but grevious may be with right support and when B1 and Droideka shards become farmable?

Yeah, Magnaguard is a weak link in the team that can be replaced, which is convenient, because he is the hardest to gear of all of the droids.

I'm doing the same thing, casually gearing and farming grievous from 6 to 7* while waiting for b1(and droideka) to become farmeable. Hopefully I'll end up with a decent seperatist b-team around the time I unlock DR next time he comes around. Will be nice to have a JKR counter seeing as it'll be ages before I ever get JKR myself.

Every time I nuke a DR or wipe out a JKR team, its REALLY satisfying. Just saying :wink:

If you cannot take top 10 in your squad and fleet arena then you should be going all in on Separatists to be able to join a great guild getting tons of stars in Geo TB. You can get crystals that way. So are they worth it? You bet
