With only 5 battles per day plus the fact every new character will need those pieces and that we also need energy to farm characters shards and it will likely take months to farm those gears even with 3 refreshes per day. So that is not really a viable option.

Unless those new gear pieces become available on this new store/ new arena mode I suspect this will turn to be a even worse bottleneck than stun cuffs, stun guns and carbantis.

on normal nodes so don't know what ur refreshing....is drop rates that are bad and as mentioned earlier only other way is to spend...perhaps they'll give us dogs a bone and add them to rewards somewhere

Aren’t they on normal nodes? So no need to refresh?

I stand corrected in this point then.

Now that stun gun will be easily farmable in the guild event store because no new toons will be added in, they needed to create a new bottleneck for the sake of the game.

Make the toon too easy to gear can be bad because you won't need to do a choice on which characters you want to complete and will severely reduce the feeling of accomplishment who make the game an addiction to all the player.
It's just basic human biology and they perfectly know it.

Nevertheless the cursor of the bottleneck need to be well adjusted, I think they have all the data to do it right, and they use them.

I wouldn’t mind these kyrotech gear if it was 50 purple to craft one of them instead of 100 purple

These need to be rewards somewhere. I got the padme pieces and the only realistic way was saving crystals. This is obviously a money grab until they show up in other shops

If every/almost every new character will be needing them and they would remain to be obtainable only through farming it would be a pretty horrible bottle neck, worse even than stun guns and golden eyes. With the new tb and ga championship and the new currencies (and a hint at updated challenge rewards) it is entirely possible that we will get more ways to obtain them soon. Fingers crossed!

With that much new gear, 1 stun gun is pretty irrelevant. Besides, aren't you the "resource management" guy?

I agree, that would be more on par with everything else. But obviously that isn't what they're going for. Not sure what they ARE going for other than to make life miserable.
