Removing buffs as part of an attack can't be resisted. It can be evaded, but not resisted.
Vader's attacks can't miss. He'll hit through foresight, Evasion up, and RNG. That's the reason he's viable. Also, his basic can't be resisted.
If you're facing Thrawn a lot, remember he gives tenacity to his ships. That might be a factor in why your TIEs get resisted a lot.
