I do not have a good dark side team. Only phasma and Sidius at 7*. The rest are 2-4*Should I gear Vader as much as I can as wel as other low * toons so I can complete the missions or should I farm othe dark side toons to 7*?

If you have Palp or ever have a plan to get him, then yes. Vader at G10 and 7* plus the right mods can easily reach 10k power. Under palp lead his debuffs give him tm and health, and because of his very high health/protection, he survives a lot of hits. He is an "attacker" with the health of a tank. His basic hits weakly but adds an ability block. (I recommend running him with IG-88. 88 will feed off his debuffs).

If you don't have darkside toons for the missions, then yeah, it's probably a good idea to gear vader up at least a bit (though his higher levels can take ages of grinding!).However, don't expect him to be much use in arena, especially at higher ranks - Rex (and now the Yoda priority change) tenacity up makes him utterly useless.

At least half of my top 20 have rex and one of those who does not, has yoda at 225 speed. That Yoda goes before pretty much anyone which completely nullifies Vader, as well as Palpatine.

One of the more undervalued things about Darth Vader's basic attack is that it can't be dodged by Jedi and its Ability Block can't be resisted by Jedi. (The Dodged/Resisted message will still show up, but damage and debuff will go through.) This comes in especially handy against Yoda--appropriately enough--when he has Foresight and Tenacity Up (which usually means everyone on the team has both).

TFP has base speed 170. Play the long game. So what if they have Yoda or Rex.

If TFP doesnt ability block Yoda or Rex off the bat, B2 will strip their tenacity buff on his turn b4 Palp or Vader goes most likely, due to the aoe u will get tagged with right after TFP goes. This leaves EP free to stun and Vader free to ohko.

That's the team I run. There's literally no team I can't beat. I went up against some 230+ speed Rexs and STHans in the tourney and still came out on top. It's just the perfect balance and can answer any problem.

Sub Rex for B2 and you're onto something... amazing team. Offensively it's a beast with that initial tenacity buff and TM gain from Rex... if I didn't have rex to use I would probably sub in another TM manipulator like phasma, st Han, or Poe

Awesome team though and I'm using it currently with happy results

U dont need as much speed w/ this team, but u do need to keep offense up and taunt off the enemy team. U dont want Vader and TFP banging against a tank w/ a crit down mod and 70k health/prot no matter how fast u r. B2 over Rex all day and i have a 7* 240 speed Rex.

Rex is king in so many comps, especially as lead...but not in this 1.
