Nailed it. Rng is not really random per se.
If you knew the code you could possibly make predictions but there are endless options to create seemingly random numbers.
There's no statistical proof that the numbers of sims might matter. In fact, it's extremely unlikely.
Let it also bei said that rng does not mean equal chances for each outcome (good luck pulling 330 ATF shards, hah). The troll move is to never tell you the odds. Noone's going to buy packs if they say "with a 0.02% chance to get 30 shards".
(The Chinese know that, they've got law to enforce the odds are revealed.)
And who says drop chances etc are static? If EA are truly evil, they might have that manipulated. They may want that very needed gear to show up more frequently on shipments if you're out of crystals - to make you spend.
Gee, it might even adjust to your payment behaviour to create crunches at a time of month when you're more apt to cash.
Or spoof your chances of getting teams ready for events without paying.
How far is that REALLY from devs who give us notice of events merely one week in advance and sell 5-7 shards packs by claiming they Might contain much more? They want that money, so they'll do what makes you pay and "rng" serves them perfectly to manipulate players.
Do u go to ur job think "i need to milk every dollar possible from my customers?" Not likely. But i better no matter what ur job is ur profit/ accounts payable is important. This game can totally 100% be played for free. I would highly doubt such a complicated system of rng could be implemented. There is a system to the randomness thats tied to the same habit forming as gambling. Which encourages spending. Its basically the same way slot machines work. Do they tell u the odds of winning that jackpot or car r .0001%? Its all about luck.
