Just added Cassian's ship in a couple of days ago when I 7*ed Endurance.

I'm not going to deny slave 1 and tie advanced are great ships. They are. However they both benefit from the fact that a lot of people don't like fleet arena.

If you have a 7 star Vader (because zader raids or from when zader was meta or because you need 5 empire characters for r2d2 or whatever) Vader's ship makes sense because you dont need to farm anything else. Also people who dont care about ships see 5 dark side ships for zeta challenge.

Same with Boba they have him for credit heists at decent gear they get his ship.

A lot of people don't look at fleet composition beyond fitting in with what they already have.

People are lazy. I am too. I don't know what Plo's ship does but I know I need 5 dark side ships for zeta and 5 empire characters for r2d2 and scoundrels for credit heist so I have to work tfp boba and Vader therefore I work their ships because a seven star pilot makes for a better ship.

Just added Cassian's ship in a couple of days ago when I 7*ed Endurance.

Very nice fleet. @Woodroward Plo and Windu's taunt means Biggs is unnecessary, Rex and JC will heal a lot. And Fives & Clone Sarg are the tankiest ships in game. Plus Windu can spread TL and use Fives' ult for a big hit. This fleet doesn't need a fast TL for Biggs' taunt so that is also nice.

But, still I prefer Tarkin and Thrawn's fleet because first I love the ultimate abilities. Second I don't use Windu at all, mine is not at all developed. Third, Thrawn and his ship are lefendary so I feel like I must get them and use them. So I collect DS ships (synergy with Thrawn and Tarkin) and Rebel ships (Biggs for arena + Chimaera)

I agree, it's a trend. No fleet is unbeatable. They are fairly balanced. More than squad arena

@Woodroward I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but some people use dark side ships because they like them. I've tried light side myself, and it's boring as hll. It's not that I don't know any better. I fight some light side comps like yours and they are very easy to beat, maybe because of gear. Still, vader and slave 1 are undeniably on the top 5 best ships

No bubble to burst. I never said that light side was better and people should run them. What I said was that NEITHER side is better.

It's about composition. You can say that dark side is better, yet I'm the only fleet not running a lot of dark side ships in my shard. Yesterday I was still at rank 2 from the day before when I went to do my battles. Today I am still sitting at rank 3 from yesterday.

The people on my shard tell me that it takes longer to beat my fleet than any other in the shard.

I'm sorry, but you are talking about trends, not which is better... exactly what I said, so no bubble to burst.

Both ships share the same spot in fleet shipments, so no need to choose because you'll never have both at the same time in that store. Farm both. I don't remember seeing them in any other shipments (except the ones that cost gems, but I mean f2p shipments).

Pretty nice looking Fleet, but I don't see how this could hold top 10. Chimaera plus TIE Fighter/Reaper/TIE Ad/Biggs/FO TIE seems to be the go-to.

I'm running that same squad, but without Chimaera. I couldn't unlock it the first time because I hate the rebel ships. But I will have it 7* whenever it returns. However, with a 6* Tarkin I defeat squads like yours all the time on my way to closing Top 20, sometimes Top 10.

Of course I assume squads like yours beat me since I fall to the 30s.

Anyway...just my two cents. Chimaera squads, from what I've seen, can take and hold Top 10, Top 5 positions all day long.

A month or two after Chimaera came out I found myself falling out of the top 10. Even found myself high teens sometimes, but other than that I had been constantly in the top 10 since around when I hit level 85... never dropped out of it.

I haven't left the top 10 since I 7*ed Endurance though. All the protection regen makes it take a while to beat.
