and I needed a team for the Military might event Emperor Palpatine At 5* I was able to get a Palpitine fairly easily, but at all 6* the military might event wiped the floor with this team at battle...

Definitely drop Lobot until your roster is much stronger. They might be able to do tier 2 with more gear and mods, but I would say it's not worth investing in this crew just for that. You're better off investing in the CLS requirements.
