Well, they had to make most people's favorite character strong. He was an absolute JOKE before.
Also, EP teams easily destroy him on offense. Losing on defense does not often happen for good teams. The only incredibly strong defensive team is JTR, and even she can be destroyed by Nightsisters and Imperial Probe Droid under EP lead.
