Im at 85 for months, so honestly, i have no clue what works at level 80 ... guess at this level the highest gear + fastest mods win, no matter what faction you use.
At 85 with all maxed (or atleast gear-11) chars, the best Jedi-combo i've run into was: qgj lead (zetad), yoda (battle meditation zetad), r2 (no jedi, but major boosts and unavoidable AoE - both zetas), ezra and general kenobi.
this team can easy climb top ranks.
