Speed mods vs health and defense

So i just unlocked the ability to farm 5 star speed mods....

Are they worth it on chars you need a lot of speed from such as leia and rey?

They both have high speed already so deciding if its worth that bonus on already fast players..

For that matter woukd it be worth it on say rg if you use him more for the stun than the taunts?

Ive been working on the premise that tanks get defense mods, others get health.... now should i add defense for the guys that are fast...for that matter would crit chance be even better than speed for say leia

Ive seen no hard numbers anywhere that would allow me an informed decision on which chars would do best with which mod sets


Also is there a site that tells you what possible stats you can get in each slot, for instance the arrow can get speed in health but can you also get the 30 speed in arrows from speed or potency sets... id like to know whats possible ao j know which mods to lvl to 15

  • Speed is king, but I might argue for Potency or possibly Crit Damage sets(depending on team) if they were loaded up with Speed in their Secondary stats.

    It's going to be the best stat for 90+% of champs, so it's hard to go wrong. The only real caveat is when maybe leader or ally abilities that already add Speed Up or Turn Meter, certain character could then really benefit from hitting hard, again either with Potency/Crit Mods...lol...again hopefully you're lucky and have Speed for Secondary Stats in those mods. Speed is so OP, it's hard to argue against not getting. I really like my Lando and IG 88/86 with Crit Damage mods though (mainly to kill before the first Taunt).

    These are the possible primaries for any set:

    Square- only offense
    Diamond - only defense
    Circle - protection or health
    Arrow - speed, accuracy, crit avoidance, health, protection, offense, defense
    Triangle - crit dmg, crit chance, health, protection, offense, defense
    Cross - tenacity, potency, health, protection, offense, defense

    So you can get a speed set arrow with speed primary, or a health set arrow with speed primary, or any other set with arrow speed primary.

    Speed sets aren't really worth it IMO, unless you absolutely need 10-16 speed on a toon for a specific reason. Speed sets take four slots and only give you 10% base speed. So a 140 speed toon gains 14, a 160 speed toon gains 16. You can get more than that with good secondaries.
