Stormtrooper Han

Will someone(s) breakdown what makes ST Han so great post update? I've look at his stats and abilities and just don't see it. His stats and abilities don't seem game breaking. I've been dumping my squad arena tokens into him but am starting to question why. Each time I face him he seems pretty squishy.
  • @Nikoms565 I think the solution would once again as I'm sure some people have stated make Dookus lead only apply to Sith. Same goes for RG his taunt used to only apply to empire toons and I think they should make it that way again. Would open the door for more teams to be viable I think, Instead of every team having Dooko lead and RG in it.... They changed QGJ lvl 8 leader to not apply to everyone why should Dookus be any different or make it appy to Sith and half the bonus to non sith like Lumi's lead.

    LOL yeah I have the same problem with Greedo. He can crit for 10K easy with Advantage and Offense up. But he misses literally 1/2 the time without Dooku or Lumi as lead.
  • Oh, I agree. It seems odd that a heroes "leadership ability" applies even to people who would never assent to his/her leadership. :)

    Now the RG taunt thing, that's a different issue. Now you're getting into basic functionality that would be limited to certain teams. I don't think the game will go in that direction - at least not anytime soon. Arena looks like and functions like Cantina - which is more of a "free for all" style - and that's a good thing, imho (keeping in mind this is a holotable - not an actual battle). It allows all kinds of teams and synergies and opportunities to see how various abilities compliment each other.

    Just as some fun examples:
    Phasma slows all enemies down, while ST Han speeds yours up!
    QGJ lead calls in Rey on an assist, so now she is protected by foresight.
    GS calls in Yoda, so now he has foresight to pass around to the whole team.
    Poe exposes a high-health team - now Sid drops AoE...followed by IG88's AoE- fun!!
    IG86 attacks a Jedi with his special - calling in Dooku. Stunned Jedi. Nice.
    QGJ calls in Daka with his assist attack on Dooku. Dooku is all set to counter - until Daka stuns him.
    Daka+Eeth+Dooku vs. a slow team = 3 stunners all speed 132 or higher.
    IG86+QGJ+GS = 3 heroes who keep calling each other for assists.
    RG taunting - taking a ton of damage, then healed up by Lumi - or raised by Daka is something went incredibly wrong.


    All kinds of fun combos, that wouldn't be possible if abilities were limited based on team makeup.

    You could certainly limit leadership abilities based on faction - but not all abilities. That would undercut the variety and variability possible in arena.

    Apparently no one on here can read, yea you have qgj, guess what he went before han. So i hit Han's taunt instant 30% TM to team now you have 2 or 3 people before QGJ goes guess what that gave me 4 extra attacks with my team. Now you QGJ han, that's if you're not stunned by a daka or ability blocked by anybody else.

    You guys assume that everyone with Han only has Han on their team, they have 4 other characters that can make QGJ useless in this game. Not to mention QGJ is squishy and I can probably kill him with all my extra turns before you even get off your dispel.

    But hey I routinely go into arena with only stormtrooper and STH only so maybe you do have a point.

    BTW I laugh whenever I see a QGJ team it's usually a cake walk. I run Asajj, NI, Talia, Daka, and STH.

    There isn't a single team on here I have trouble with routinely, definitely the least of my worries is QGJ, he's either dead or stunned when I fight him.
  • @Nikoms565 I disagree to some degree. Some and I must emphasize SOME.. abilities other than leadership abilities being specific to factions would increase variety. As of right now pretty much every single top arena team has RG... how is that variety? perhaps give RG a taunt that is activated like any other Taunt but when an empire ally falls below 50% he taunts out of turn? They do it with other abilities that have a base function but an aditional faction specific effect. That way he would still be good but would synergize better with an Empire team which is how it should be.
  • you could do the same for ST han keep everything the same as it is but change the bonus 20% turn meter when he is damaged while taunting to only apply to rebels. Still works but is beter with a rebel team... I think things like this would add way more to variety.

    You dropped 40 places because you did not have Dooku as leader, not because you had QGJ is leader. There is a difference. ;)
