Support?

There is no strict definition.

The character class will change the primary stats, and have an effect on mastery archetype.

Generally speaking a support toon will have a focus on buffs/debuffs, healing or some regen, or other none combat characteristics. They will not have high damage output, or a tonne of health/protection themselves.

Filter by "Support," look at the characters, and think about what they have in common. Typically, they're the "utility" characters. They heal, give TM, call assists, grant buffs, inflict debuffs, perform general battlefield control. Swiss Army knife types, they tend not to be focused on any one thing (e.g. dealing damage, tanking damage, or healing). Thrawn is a prototypical support, as is R2.

That is a very "standard" term used, not sure who started it.
