SWGoH Review: Should I Buy Cassian’s U-Wing Bundle?

Nice review. My issue is that with the Tie Advanced and Kylo ship already stuck in 4 star quagmire, I don't really want to invest in another ship that I have to wait to farm, even if cost is not an issue.

(I am tempted however, to buy it just for K2SO so I can add another tank to my future 4-tank annoyance team lol)

Here is my response to the "4-star quagmire" - who cares? If they are viable at 4-stars then run with it and enjoy. My Vader TIE is awesome - my best offensive weapon on a team of all 7-stars except for one (now two thanks to Cassian). Thus, 5 of 8 ships I run are 7-stars, 1 is 6-stars and then Vader and Cassian. There is no Heroic Raid to worry about, so the lack of star power does not worry me in ships.

I like that 4-tank annoyance team and K-2SO gains and loses taunt so he is uber-annoying.

Yeah I think it's a good buy if someone doesn't have a really comprehensive fleet - if they don't and don't have a good rebel setup it might be a good way in for sure. But for people who already have a bunch of good ships and/or have a pretty comprehensive set of rebel toons, it might feel extraneous.

I ran a 3 tank team a few times and it was amusing to watch how annoying they were lol. K2SO would make it even more of a PITA even if the tank team gets smoked lol

The Jyn shards alone are worth $43 if comparing to the new "elite" shard cost in shipments (85 crystals per shard) and Vault pricing at $99 for 15k crystals. Using old shard cost of 50 per shard she is worth $25.

As for value of the ship, that is really hard to tell, how do you factor in having to level and gear 3 characters?

Given the stat of ships today, I would say its not worth it unless you already plan to or have already maxed the 3 R1 toons. Though soon they should release more chips, more comps should emerge where maybe the ship could be useful.

Though as mentioned above if you were planning on buying Jyn shards via shipments (since she is a slow farm in guild store) then this pack is worth her shards alone.

Yeah, IF you are planning to max out a Rogue One team and you don't have a lot of shards of Jyn, Cassian and K2SO, then MAYBE its worth it to buy the pack.

I understand completely. I had Jyn up to 7 stars early and hammered Cassian and K-2SO shards so hard that I had them at 7-stars early last week - then this pack came out. I bought it anyway since I knew that the ship would have three 7-star toons in it thus making it rather strong despite the lack of gear on K2 and Cassian.

This pack might be worth it for some, but sadly not for me since my Jyn is already close to 7* :/. Don't see why you would buy this pack for cassian shards, or K-2SO shards. The ship is questionable, but alone, its really not worth it considering there are so many awesome ships out there that could be used instead in the arena. Why blow $40 bucks for a ship that wont make or break ships?! The bundle is worth it though if you are having trouble with ships, and have a highly geared cassian, k2so, and jyn to go with the ship, and really need jyn erso shards.

Great assessment. I am holding out hope that Cassian's ship will be a difference-maker, but I have lost a lot of ground on defense the past two days with it in my starting lineup. Hoping for a Credit Heist so that I can test it out in a more fair scenario.
