Tenacity down characters?

I think that's it. But you could also consider baze on that lost since he can reverse tenacity up to down.

Thanks. Still getting resisted often in the rancor raid despite having around 80% potency on Teebo, and Qui Gon. Not using a TD character so going to try Jawa Scavenger whilst farming TFP. Need 8 days of cantina shipments before JS will be ready.

You'll still get resisted on TD, just not as much. I use TFP mainly and sometimes Dengar. I can't wait to get Krennic up to 7*. With the others you need high crit chance AND potency. With Krennic you just need high potency. His base potency at gear XI is 47. So a potency set with a potency cross primary brings his potency to 101%

Potency is irrelevant if the enemy has Tenacity Down. Tenacity Down gives the Rancor -99990% tenacity and leaves him with only the bare minimum(15%), having more potency won't result in anything and you're better off using some other mods that will benefit you more.

Currently got Krennic as my Dark Side farm. Won't even need potency on him if Tenacity Down can't be resisted will I? I thought that it was ignored by potency checks?

This is correct. Tfp just needs to crit and krennic just needs to hit to apply tenacity down. There is no potency check to apply tenacity down. Just crit or hit, respectively.

The Potency will matter when you're trying to land TD. And the level 90 Rancor should have higher than a 15% resist chance.

Edit: Wait, TD doesn't check for Potency? Never knew that. Still, the Rancor will have a higher base chance to resist, being 5 (or more) levels higher than your team.

Double Edit: Well, shoot. This reddit post actually seems to indicate that the level delta is actually accounted for in the Potency check, not the base resist check, which means TD would effectively nullify the 5 level difference between the Rancor and player characters.
