I would go with STH. I'm still using him now with Lando/Boba & the 2 vets. He gets knocked out first but by then the damage is usually done. His taunt not only protects Lando/Boba (briefly) but also adds a heap of TM so those 2 gets at least a couple of big turns in. STH doesn't work as well in GW. Also depends on your enemy... if the opponent has a faster Boba than you (via mods) then your STH could be ability blocked before his taunt can be activated which makes him kinda useless.
Your hoarding level is great - I went in with about half that and I'm still just hanging onto top3 arena after nearly 2 weeks. You may run out of sim tickets that's all so keep an eye on those and perhaps pickup the 20 sims for 30 crystals each 6hr refresh once you get below 500.
You will hit a point where you just can't spend any more as you have to wait for those 6hr refreshes in the cantina/arena/gw stores to pick up the other shards you need. Took me about 3 days I think to hit level 45 so you should do that easily within 2 days. I'm now level 56 (day 13). The whale in number 1 spot is already above level 60.
