He is overpowered. Not in every way, and not deserving of massive nerfing. But his counterattacks are excessive.
I am still using him in my starting 5. People have been telling me since level 40 that I would soon want to swap him out, but I haven't found anyone yet that can do what he does. Even if he is replaced in my PvP squad he will be essential in GW.
Without knowing your full lineup of unlocked characters, it's hard to say. I swapped him out long ago. Mine is Luminara, Barris(she will be replaced when I get my JC geared up), Sidious, Ahsoka, and Mace(I like him for removing taunts so I can kill off a character like Maul, FO Tie Pilot, Leia, Luka, etc)/Kit/Qui Gon depending on who I'm facing. I'd switch them out for Aayla if I could ever get lucky enough to get her. I'm not a top PvP player by any measure, but I finish in the top 100 every day. Every time I see Dooku, I simply leave him for last and he's barely a nuisance unless he gets lucky with his stuns. Usually by the end it's at worst 3v1 with me having two healers up and usually Mace or Ahsoka. Basically, I run a team that has two full healers, self heal, team heal on crit, and self heal on death of anyone. Kinda makes Dooku's normally 800 damage hits kinda weak.
