Yes, that's part of the reason I asked.

Plus my rancor runs usually involve saving all specials for when I have fracture down and shore taunting.

I lost jyn about 20% into p4 and thought I would never make it work. I made it and wasn't sure if an all empire team could work and then thought about doing with fast toons and the unresistable 15% tmr vs Vader's (50% chance) of 20%.

I'm just not sure if you can out speed him and rancor, plus have specials available "constantly".

But is it not the same answer? Yes, there is an Empire tm that can tm lock Thrawn. I would assume the B-2 Rocket Droid at 231 speed is faster than the Rancor, but I guess I don't really know. But it seems to me if you can solo p3 HAAT, rancor should be no problem.

This. The only thing is with the Rancor you're going to want to use Thrawn to switch TM with Jyn, have jyn give TM back to Thrawn with counterattack kinda deal to get Thrawn to reset the cooldown on Fracture when you go from Phase to Phase.
