To those who said Thrawn was impossible for F2P

I saw lots of posts claiming it was impossible to even unlock him for F2P. For the record I could've 7* him if I wasn't running so low on arena and cantina currency

OK. If you're F2P and you're at a point where you've got your squads all geared up and have been saving currency for months, then yeah.

If you're F2P and still struggling to gear up, still trying to upgrade the few squads that you use, and not sitting on a hoard of currency then good luck and condolences. Then it's a decision between participating in this event or gearing up. Drop everything and spend crystals to refresh for Sabine shipments or Cantina energy refreshes to earn tokens to spend on Chopper, and watch as your arena shardmates ride off into the distance on the gear grind. Or stick to the gear grind and sit the event out.

It's not impossible for every free player, but it's not easy for every free player either. There are obvious answers to the old "I can do it, so why can't you?"

Lmao, who said it was easy? If you don't want to spend your resources, then don't. You simply won't unlock him, what's the big deal?

I do alright. I'm probably not going to unlock Thrawn and that's okay. I'm just explaining why this "I can do it so you should too" stuff is needless provocation.

i feel like this thread is more of an anwser to the people who say it's impossible when in fact they're just not willing to put the effort in (how easy/hard that may or may not be)

Exactly. My whole point of this post was to simply show that it was possible for F2P. Wasn't trying to brag, but instead give a little hope for other F2Pers

The opportunity will eventually come back around again. It isn't the end of the world.

The first chance had a very short preparation time, considering how long it takes to upgrade Sabine or Chopper without spending an enormous amount of crystals. The event's timing was just designed to induce stress & get people to buy character packs.

Gratz on getting a Thrawn though.
