Yep, I went all in when he first got put there and farmed him from the first day he got put into LS 9C + I started buying shards from shipments about once or twice a week a couple of months back.
I'm f2p and I'll do the same, literally will get to him the last refresh before the event ends. I made a big mistake and thought I would get 1600 gw tokens per day, so I spent some I had saved on ships. Now I'll have to buy at least 15 shards of zeb from the shard shop.
And I've been doing the 100 100 100 200 200 cantina refreshes, just got hera to 7* and ezra still needs 80 shards (he has appeared only twice in fleet shipments so no help from there).
I really hope the gear is enough, I don't have enough carbantis to get them all to gear 10
