In general, no Treya is not meant to place thermal detonators on enemies.
What team were you facing? A Zam lead allows Bounty Hunter allies to place thermal detonators using a special, perhaps you missaw?

I think this is possible yes, traya her basic places all debuffs on her allies to target enemy

not basic ability, also if thermal detonator doesn't say can't be copied then maybe she can put thermal detonator on enemy
