Yeah, for your team it's a better solution. For me, with QGJ dispell ready, I can fire away if I want too.
Basically it comes down to judgement on second aoe. If sth taunt is up and Baze TM is on the low end, then I usually go for aoe. WIll get massive TM boost for everyone elsse and make it up even if sth dies.
Today I almost lost, because of that. Seems buff immunity prevents units from gaining TM, happened to my Lando today. Can anyone elaborate on that ? Is it a normal thing ? I had also ability block on Lando so maybe it was that ?
To piggyback what you wrote Lando aoe, outside of first round, against chaze/wiggs team is kinda suicidal since it powers Biggs as well (those crits).
I managed #2 in arena and #1 in fleet arena today so a great one. But had to start from 37th place. Getting sick and tired of those whales sniping me. It's harassment at this point. I'm the only one from top5 getting nuked far away each day.
About that fleet arena you mentioned before, whales are starting to crawl in. Made #1 today, but first was 3 geonosian ships + biggs + ahsoka so definitelly not a f2p player.
Gj with Biggs, would start with him in GW instead of phasma if I were you. Greedo is not bad. Actually you're kinda lucky. You can participate in scoundrels events from the get go. I missed 3 since I didn't have those units then and arena was my focus. I got jedi guardian. Guess who pulled the shorter end of the stick on this one ? :)
Lando all the way. From hard nodes: JC and Boba are nice to start off. Ahsoka if you want be good in arena, but ti's not a must. RG is a great value, but you can farm him later on from cantina nods. Rey and Anakin are great, but will take time to farm.
Atm I farm JC, Boba, Rey and Anakin. Usually 2 tickets on each node to get 1 shard. I rarely drop 3 tickets on 1 node, waste of energy since you do need to gear up. Works quite well for me actually.

Fresh new shard yesterday. I pulled Biggs out of my first chromium. I also bought the Dark Side pack but Greedo is terrible. Finished 3rd in arena behind some beasts.

What should my focus be now? Approaching level 26. Lando or GS? I am getting STH in Arena. Any specific hard mode farms?
