If you dont mind loosing 1,5 month of time then go for it. I would say that 90% of players start with a lousy ranking, game puts them randomly on list and generates many "bot" accounts which get showed to the back once players advance up. As such, to get to top10,20,50 it takes some time or using crystal refills. You can get from 500 to top200 in a day. You just need to hit "refresh" and aim for highest place opponents. Getting to top10 doesn't guarantee you'll stay there. If you get bumped a lot in top200 then imagine what it's like it top20. Lastly - top players get stronger much faster, but that are just 20-25 players, rest is up to speed with you. And mind, that you won't get a leg on all thsoe whales in top10, even if you would be next to them yourself. Paying players just have it easier and are stronger.
I would also like to ask, who should i start to farm from cantina store, i got Bobba, should i still go for qgj or for example ashoka because of ships, or daka?
QGJ can be farmed only from cantina. Ahsoka from fleet shop and hard nodes, maybe even somewhere else, didn't bother to check right now. Wait with decision till you get to 60lvl and get your own fleet bracket. I ran only basic units - JC, GS, CS, resistance pilot, TF and managed to get top5 second day (2 refreshes) and am top1 w/o any refreshes. Had luck with getting mediocre opponents.
All in all - if the game is not fun for you now and you want to throw out that time you invested so far then restart this game. Mind what I said earlier - there will always be whales or ppl that have more free time then you, that will play harder/invest more time or money and therefore rank higher.
