Yes, found out myself after decimating chaze teams in around a minute with Boba.
I'm still dumbfound how could OP pass on Boba for QGJ. I would like to ask for a refund of lost crystals because of that... ;/ True, gearing is hard, but he gets tier7 gear faster than others (before 60lvl) and tier8 gear is quite easy to get.
No sense to dwell on it now. At least top5 easy now and gearing up to get that top1 back.
I never use his aoe if no buffs around. Almost always start with single assist. Protection up is what makes a difference this early in game. So spamming single attack or aoe if units are buffed. It's even more profitable to use assist than to reinforce my fleet since my back up units are worthless.
Does protection up stack infinitelly ? Or is it capped by your initial protection (health for tie fighter) ?

So if you go Ackbar, the key might be to use his single attack first, so that you have an other ship to assist (likely). And like you wrote, Biggs first.
